"Speed Reading" (Montreal)

Date: September 20, 2009
Location: Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), Montreal

A 90-minute relay race of sorts, this sweat-filled event features 20–25 writers and artists who will take turns reading texts on the notion of speed while jogging/running/ambling on three treadmills positioned side-by-side. Reader-runners will share their preferred fast or slow manifesto, philosophical treatise, timetable, literary excerpt, slow-food recipe, biological notation, or space-time continuum in readings of 1 second to 4 minutes.

"Speed Reading" is happening in conjunction with CCA's exhibition Speed Limits."
