"The tropical fantasy of an easy, cash-free, work-free, nomadic paradise life is embodied in the coconut. The coconut has other things going for it too; it can do just about anything. You can eat it, drink it, and make rope, cups, brassieres, and clip-clopping horse hooves for radio dramas out of it. You can carve faces on it, paint landscapes on it, sell it to tourists, or send it as a postcard through the mail. And, coconuts are hilarious to boot."
