Art Bingo

Art bingo as never been played before!

On June 10, 2000, Immaterial Incorporated organized an unusual bingo evening at The Ohio in Soho, New York. Immaterial Bingo was played by official bingo rules, but every game had a highly unusual way of producing random numbers. Devices used included a modified bicycle, a hedgehog, barcode scanners, video, darts, pictograms, radio stations, and bandaids.

Jonathan Ames, novelist and performance artist, served as MC and bingo caller. Winners received prizes made by artists including Joe Amhrein, Spencer Finch, Nina Katchadourian, Sheila Pepe, & David Scher.

This event was organized by Lisa Gold, Vincent Mazeau, Sina Najafi, and Jay Worthington.
